The carbon fiber mirror triangle cover, designed for the Hyundai Kona N, is glued over the inner mirror triangle cover – the plastic trim piece on the inside of the door that conceals the mounting points for the side mirror. When the door is closed, this creates a clean carbon fiber triangle at the transition between the door and the A-pillar.

The cover is made from genuine dry carbon using a pre-preg process and cured in an autoclave. Precise 3D scans of the original bezel ensure a 100% perfect fit and a clean, flush finish. The cover is also available in forged carbon upon request – simply contact support.

Material

Genuine dry carbon, manufactured using the pre-preg process and cured in an autoclave. Clear, glossy lacquer finish, dimensionally stable and resistant to UV radiation and temperature fluctuations.

The cover is glued directly over the original mirror triangle trim on the inside of the door. The adhesive is applied using the pre-mounted 3M-Adhesive tape – the original trim panel does not need to be removed. Thoroughly clean and degrease the adhesive surface before installation.

Optionally, installation is also possible at FLOW DOWN® in Essen.

What exactly is covered by the Carbon Mirror Triangle Cover?

The cover is applied over the inner mirror triangle trim on the door side – the black plastic cover that usually hides the mounting points of the exterior mirror. When the door is closed, this creates a clean carbon triangle at the transition between the door and the A-pillar.

What does Dry Carbon mean and what is the difference compared to Wet Carbon?

Dry Carbon is produced using the Pre-Preg process and cured under pressure and heat in an autoclave. The result is lighter, stronger, and visually flawless compared to Wet Carbon, which is hand-laminated with resin – a factory and motorsport standard.

Does the Carbon Cover hold up permanently – even in car washes and rain?

Yes. Both the Pre-Preg carbon and the clear coat, as well as the 3M-industrial adhesive tape, are designed for permanent use in the door area. Car washes, high pressure, and weather are no problem.

Are both sides included in the delivery?

Yes. The set includes 2 covers for the left and right mirror triangle trim. Both covers already have 3M adhesive tapes pre-installed.

How authentic does the carbon look compared to the factory N-Performance carbon parts?

Visually very close. Since FLOW DOWN® uses genuine dry carbon processed in an autoclave, the fiber structure and deep gloss correspond to what Hyundai uses in N Performance carbon parts – the covers visually match the existing original carbon.

Can the covers be removed residue-free if needed?

Yes. With some heat (e.g., a hairdryer), the 3M adhesive tape can be evenly warmed and the cover gently removed. Any adhesive residue on the original trim can be removed with a standard adhesive remover.
